Black Student Alliance
Being a part of the Black student Alliance I found my joy for digital art. My Junior year I was asked by Marshell Gilmore if I wanted to be a part of the BSA executive board. I was in charge of promoting events, creating flyers, and social media. Shelly would tell me what she had visioned and I tried my best to create it. In high school, I had to take a digital art class and never did much with it. I was creating things I never thought I would make. People from several different organization were asking me to help them create flyers, people were telling me how much they love the flyers. It helped my confidence shoot through the roof. I learned that Art was my main segway to express myself. I started digital drawing and painting canvas. My senior year I had another opportunity to be apart of the board. I have been fully supported from the beginning and I am truly appreciative for the connection I have made and the relationships I have built.
